Christmas concert by the Fa Mi Cantar choir

The female vocal ensemble Fa Mi Cantar was created in October 2018 , under the impetus of three singers and a director who had long wanted to create a choir with equal voices. In the end, 16 singers and friends , from various renowned Fribourg choirs such as the Chœur Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens de Bulle or the Chœur Saint-Michel, joined forces under the direction of Alexandre Raemy and Nathan Christe . Rehearsals take place once a month, with the choristers preparing at home beforehand.

In June 2019, Fa Mi Cantar gave its first concerts. With a diversified program in terms of both eras and musical genres , our ensemble took off and won over an audience that would become loyal.

Since its first concerts in June 2019 , Fa Mi Cantar has multiplied collaborations with other vocal ensembles, such as Les Vouèno (2019), De Musica (2022), the Chœur Saint-Michel et Diverticantus (2023) and Callirhoé (2023). In September 2019, our ensemble recorded part of the music for the film Mother Teresa and me (Kamal Musale) composed by Annick Rody.

Fa Mi Cantar also performs at events such as the Saint-Nicolas musical meetings (2021), the Advent windows of the friends of the BCU (2021), the Fribourg Acappella festival (2022), the 20Heures de musiques de Romont (2022) and Tutticanti (2024).
