Choir of La Tour-de-Trême secondary school

The choir of the La Tour-de-Trême secondary school consists of students from 9th, 10th, and 11th grades, with its membership renewed annually as 9th-grade students join and 11th-grade students leave. It has been led by Marie Grandjean for over ten years.

The annual work focuses on allowing students to experience music from within, as performers rather than just listeners. The repertoire is highly diverse, including French songs, traditional pieces, gospels, classical works, excerpts from musicals, pop songs, and more. In addition to performing at school events such as the Christmas celebration and end-of-year ceremonies, the choir presents two public concerts at the end of the school year, accompanied by either an instrumental ensemble or a full orchestra. Moreover, whenever the opportunity arises, the choir participates in external events, such as singing for residents in care homes or, as this year, contributing to the musical program of the Gruyères Christmas Market.
